Summary:
Assists Doctors and technicians in multiple procedures, providing care for animals, including both inpatient and outpatient care. Often acts as liaison between clients, patients, and other staff members or Veterinarians. 10 REASONS

Other duties may be assigned. ⦁ Proper restraint of pets to assist the technicians and doctors.
  • ⦁ Anticipate and prepare medications or vaccines that are required by a doctor or Vet Tech.
  • ⦁ Communicates care and status of patients with courtesy and respect.
  • ⦁ Counts pills and prepares labels for medications as directed.
  • ⦁ Prepares requisition forms and specimens for outside lab work.
  • ⦁ Enters charges in computer accurately and completely.
  • ⦁ Performs minimal common laboratory testing.
  • ⦁ Records medications, procedures, and history as needed in patient records.
  • ⦁ Performs routine suture removals and nail trims.
  • ⦁ Cleans treatment room, lab, and pharmacy areas as needed.
  • ⦁ Draws up medications at DVM or LVT's request.
  • ⦁ Clips and prepares patients for surgery.
  • ⦁ Maintains medical equipment as required.
  • ⦁ Answers phone and directs calls, including scheduling of appointments.
Qualifications:
Computer Skills:
Ability to record, work, and read documents in word processing software and cloud-based practice management software.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Equipment:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must use a variety of equipment including x-ray machine, microscope, blood machines, and patient monitors.

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
