The ideal candidate will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional animal care and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, and equines, in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism and animal welfare. Duties Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under supervision of licensed veterinarians or technicians Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness of animal enclosures Support laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing using aseptic techniques Handle front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with pet owners Assist with pet care activities such as walking dogs, cleaning kennels, and monitoring animal behavior Maintain knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures pertinent to animal care Assist with specialized tasks such as animal catheterization Skills Prior kennel experience or background in animal husbandry preferred Dog and cat handling experience preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pet care best practices Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations or treatments Excellent communication skills for front desk duties and client interactions Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols in a veterinary setting Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners alike This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal health and welfare to grow their skills within a supportive veterinary team. Pay is based on experience.
