We are a locally owned and operated facility dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care for pets and excellent service for their owners. Overview The Veterinary Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team, supporting patient care, clinical procedures, and client education to ensure the hospital runs efficiently and compassionately. This role requires strong medical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to assist in diagnostics, anesthesia, surgery, and nursing care. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that values compassionate care, clear communication, and strong relationships with both pets and the people who love them. Duties Assist veterinarians with outpatient and inpatient care, diagnostics, imaging, anesthesia, and surgery Perform laboratory testing, collect samples, administer medications, and monitor hospitalized patients Provide client education and discharge instructions Assist with patient handling and restraint Help with exam room flow, charting, and medication prep Communicate with clients in person and by phone Support hospital workflow, inventory, safety standards, and team development Be part of a team that believes personalized care matters Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required RVT license in Ohio preferred but not required On-the-job veterinary technician experience desired if not licensed Strong communication and multitasking skills Basic typing and computer knowledge Ability to lift, carry, and restrain animals, and stay active throughout the shift A kind, professional attitude and a willingness to keep learning $1,000 sign-on bonus for a Registered Veterinary Technician $500 at hire $500 after 90 days of continued employment
