We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to our animal patients and their owners. Duties:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care to animals
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor vital signs of animals and report any abnormalities to the veterinarian
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
• Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
• Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
• Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging procedures
• Provide post-operative care to animals recovering from surgery
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience is required
• Knowledge of veterinary assistant duties and responsibilities
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must have reliable transportationA candidate that has been cross-trained as a CSR will have an advantage in obtaining a spot on our team!
