At Animal House Veterinary Hospital, we're looking for a veterinary assistant who wants to be part of a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together and providing excellent care for our patients and clients. As a privately owned, one-doctor small animal practice, we focus on quality medicine, compassionate care, and building lasting relationships with the families who trust us with their pets. Every member of our team plays an important role, and we value kindness, initiative, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Assist the veterinarian with appointments, treatments, and surgeries Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations and procedures Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house laboratory testing Prepare samples for external laboratory testing Prepare surgical patients and monitor recovery Obtain accurate patient histories and medical records Administer medications and treatments as directed Take digital radiographs Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions Cross-train to assist at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and client communication Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital

Experienced in veterinary medicine (1+ year preferred) Friendly and compassionate with both clients and coworkers Calm under pressure and able to multitask Dependable with excellent attendance Comfortable communicating with clients in person and over the phone Eager to continue learning and accepting feedback A positive team player who is willing to help wherever needed Why Animal House?
