Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be vital for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while contributing to the day to day operations of our veterinary practice. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic. Handle pet parent inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care advice. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date. Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with basic tasks as needed, including medication administration and animal care. Ensure the front clinic is organized, clean, and welcoming for clients and their pets. Provide support in kennel management, ensuring a safe environment for all animals in care. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures such as aseptic technique, animal catheterization, and medication administration is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff, and animals. A passion for pet care and animal welfare is essential. Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is advantageous but not mandatory.
