Responsibilities include: Providing daily care for hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being Administering medications as directed by the veterinary team Bathing and brushing pets as needed Assisting with patient check-in and check-out procedures Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating observations to the veterinary team Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, runs, cages, and treatment areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment Assisting veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary assistants with patient handling and restraint Supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures, including sample collection, radiographs, and laboratory work when appropriate Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment Providing compassionate care and attention to every patient throughout their stay What We're Looking For A genuine passion for animal care and welfare Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and exotic pets of varying sizes and temperaments Previous animal care, kennel, boarding, or veterinary experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person What We Offer Career development and advancement opportunities Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment The opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals while caring for a wide variety of patients, including dogs, cats, and exotics At AmeriVet, we're committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
