Job Description

Braden Run Animal Hospital is hiring!!!!!! We are looking for a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our small, busy, independently owned veterinary practice in Waynesburg PA. We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for a good human being
  • someone who is dependable, honest, kind, hardworking, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Braden Run isn't a corporation or a chain. It 's our family business . My husband Tim and I, have put years of our lives, work, and resources into this practice. When you take care of Braden Run, you're not taking care of some faceless company-you are helping us take care of our patients, our clients, our employees, and the practice we've built together. Our days can involve dogs, cats, horses, the occasional farm animal, and sometimes a kitten or other little critter small enough to ride around in Doc's pocket. No two days are ever quite the same.
Our ideal person:
  • Shows up when they're scheduled, ready to work
  • Treats clients, coworkers, patients, and our practice, as well as us, the owners, with respect and dignity
  • Values their time off while also respecting the needs of a small team-plans vacations within their allotted PTO, requests time off in advance, and understands that dependable attendance between vacations matters
  • Leaves their phone in their bag during work hours, and stays engaged with the job-not social media, texting, or scrolling
  • Can work independently without needing constant supervision or guidance
  • Notices what needs done and helps do it
  • Is comfortable in a busy, sometimes unpredictable environment
  • Communicates well and has a sense of humor
  • Genuinely likes animals and people
  • Values honesty and trust
  • Has veterinary experience; technician assistant with surgical experience strongly preferred We absolutely believe people should have a life outside of work, take vacations, and use the time off they've earned.
We also need someone who considers their job a commitment-not simply what happens in the weeks between trips. In a small private practice, one person's reliability directly affects everyone else, so we try to be considerate of one another when planning time away. We also want a vet tech who is happy being a vet tech-not someone just hanging around until their dream job comes along. We are a small practice, which means every member of our team matters. We take care of the people who take care of us. You'll work somewhere your contribution is noticed and appreciated, where you're treated like a person rather than an employee number, and where good work, honesty, and loyalty mean something. Pay is competitive and based on experience and skills.
What we offer:
  • $18•25 per hour-more if you are a CVT who can hit the ground running•PTO•One evening per week•No weekends•
Holidays Off For CVTs:
licensing fees and CE allowance
  • Generous employee veterinary care discount and free preventatives for your pets
  • And because you're part of our small veterinary family, you have the reassurance of having a veterinarian you know and trust just a phone call away-night or day.
  • If you're looking for a workplace where you can work hard, laugh frequently, learn, and make a genuine difference for animals and the people who love them, we'd like to hear from you.
Please send a resume' and a short introduction telling us about yourself and your veterinary experience to: bradenrun@gmail.com. Please share-we'd love to find the right person through someone who already knows a good human.
