Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team at our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to support our veterinarians and technicians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role involves direct interaction with animals, assisting in various procedures, and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly. Must work well in a team environment, be on time and show up for work during scheduled work times. Must be able to restrain animals properly for all procedures. Pay is decided by experience in Animal Medicine. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments. Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with client communication. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary hospital, including equipment sterilization. Support animal husbandry practices to promote the health and well-being of all patients. Provide compassionate care to all of our patients. Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Qualifications Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with animal handling techniques and animal husbandry principles. Ability to perform basic veterinary technician duties under supervision. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Cleaning and maintaining work areas.
