The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of animal care and veterinary practices, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. As a Veterinary Neurology Nurse Assistant, you will assist and support our veterinarian and nurses in providing high-quality care to the Lowcountry and beyond. Responsibilities Assist veterinarian and nurses during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Perform daily tasks assigned by veterinarian or lead nurse. Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian or lead nurse. Maintain knowledge of all accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations or procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including kennel areas. Assist in receptionist duties as needed. Requirements Experience as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant or similar role is preferred. Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices is preferred. Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional pet care. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
