Job Description

Looking for responsible, detail oriented person for fast paced vet assistant position on our mobile spay and neuter clinic. Duties include restraint of pets, record keeping, cleaning, calculating medication dosages, administering injections, pre and post op monitoring of patients, and some client interaction during check in and check out. Work close to 40 hours a week Monday through Thursday (occasionally Friday). No nights or holidays. Three day weekend almost every week! Must have at least one year of veterinary clinic experience. We are a mobile clinic so you must be willing to travel to different counties in East Tennessee. We close the clinic for at least four weeks throughout the year giving you ample vacation time. Summary As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be essential in providing compassionate care to animals and supporting the veterinary team in a clinical setting. Your core skills in veterinary experience and animal handling will enable you to assist with patient care, manage animal restraint, and ensure the well-being of pets. With premium skills in medication administration and veterinary critical care, you will contribute significantly to the health of our patients. Your relevant knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology will further enhance your ability to thrive in our dynamic veterinary clinic environment.
