Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Veterinary Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with both pets and their people. Responsibilities Safely restrain animals using low-stress, fear-free techniques Perform basic procedures like nail trims and anal gland expression Administer subcutaneous fluids Prepare surgical packs and operate an autoclave Assist with radiographs, surgical prep, and recovery Run and maintain in-house lab equipment Keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized Communicate clearly and kindly with clients and coworkers Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting is required Veterinary Assistant Certification (CVA) preferred but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, organized, and adaptable Must be available to work evenings (we're open until 7pm) and weekends What We Offer A supportive, drama-free work environment On-the-job training and opportunities for growth Collaborative team and compassionate leadership Pet care discounts Full-time hours with consistent scheduling If you're ready to join a team that values quality care, teamwork, and professional growth — apply today!
