Veterinary Technician Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role involves working closely with both pets and their owners, ensuring a positive experience while delivering essential veterinary services. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, while maintaining accurate records. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare for surgeries and maintain sterile environments. Conduct animal restraint techniques safely to facilitate examinations and treatments. Monitor vital signs and overall health of animals during procedures and recovery. Educate pet owners on animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventative care practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including equipment sterilization and inventory management. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines under the supervision of a veterinarian. Experience Candidates should have prior experience or education in veterinary technology or a related field. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and handling techniques is essential. Skills in animal care, dog handling, and knowledge of animal husbandry practices will be highly regarded.
