Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Perform various medical procedures under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
  • Take and develop X-rays of animals
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and surgeries
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and preventive healthcare measures
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology
  • Proficient in performing veterinary technician duties, including animal restraint, administering medications, and assisting with surgeries
  • Experience in handling and caring for various types of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals
  • Familiarity with kennel operations and maintaining a clean and safe environment for animals
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and other members of the veterinary team.
