Job Description

Join PODS as a CDL Truck Driver in our Transportation & Logistics team. You'll safely deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure loads are properly secured. This role blends professional driving with hands-on logistics and customer service, requiring strict adherence to DOT and PODS safety standards. You'll interact directly with customers on-site, solve access and placement challenges, and support yard operations as needed. At PODS, you'll work in a safety-focused, team-oriented culture with opportunities to grow in a nationwide network. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL truck to deliver and pick up PODS containers for residential and commercial customers Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs Secure, load, and unload containers following PODS and DOT safety procedures Communicate professionally with customers, confirm orders, and resolve basic service issues on-site Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions while adapting to traffic and site conditions Comply with all DOT, state, and local regulations and PODS safety policies Report vehicle, equipment, or site hazards promptly to leadership Support teammates and assist with yard organization and basic equipment staging as needed Required Skills CDL truck driving Defensive driving Vehicle inspection and maintenance Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces DOT regulations compliance Load securement and safety Electronic log device (ELD) use Route planning and navigation Customer service Basic equipment troubleshooting
