We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your expertise in animal husbandry, restraint, and veterinary terminology will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with both animals and their owners, contributing to a positive experience for all. Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising. Prepare animals for surgery by administering pre-operative medications and monitoring vital signs. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health and treatment plans. Document patient information accurately in medical records. Support the team with administrative tasks as required. Experience Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
