In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by handling animal husbandry, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and pet care to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV catheter placement, medication administration, animal catheterization, and surgical assistance Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices Record keeping of patient information, medical histories, treatments, and medications using veterinary terminology and record systems Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, and follow-up needs Handle front desk responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing client check-ins Support animal husbandry activities such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior and welfare Requirements Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience preferred; strong animal handling skills are essential Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior to assist effectively in clinical tasks Experience with dog and cat handling is a plus Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently to maintain a sanitary environment in accordance with PPE (personal protective equipment) use protocols Skills in record keeping, medication administration, IV catheter placement, and animal restraint are highly desirable Excellent client communication skills to provide compassionate pet care guidance and support to pet owners A proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple responsibilities This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to grow their veterinary experience.
