Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to support veterinarians in providing exceptional medical care to pets. This role involves a variety of tasks, from assisting with clinical procedures to ensuring the comfort and well-being of animals in our care. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a veterinary environment required Must be confident in a variety of skills ranging from but not limited to laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental and nursing skills. Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, and ability to handle a fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a warm, friendly demeanor Ability to thrive in a busy environment (you'll be on your toes, in a good way!) Experience with veterinary software is a plus, but a love for animals is a must! A genuine passion for pet care and the well-being of our furry friends
Some Of What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting in examinations, surgeries, and all things vet-med related (yes, including puppy cuddles!) Performing diagnostic tests and lab work to help our furry patients Administering medications and vaccines-think of it as your superhero duty! Monitoring anesthesia during surgery Educating pet owners with a smile and a wealth of knowledge Keeping our medical records organized Offering lots of love and comfort to our patients (and maybe a few treats)

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
