Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Veterinary Assistant to join our full-service animal hospital. In this role, you will support our veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff by assisting with medical procedures, surgeries, dentistry, and patient care. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining hospital cleanliness and sanitation to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for animals and staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in various areas of veterinary medicine while contributing to the health and well-being of our animal patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures. Support reception staff with client communication and appointment scheduling. Maintain a clean and sanitized hospital environment by performing cleaning duties regularly. Handle animal restraint and care to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Help with inventory management and supply organization. Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort during visits. Participate in cross-training to perform different roles within the hospital. Support office procedures as needed, including client service interactions. Work in a fast-paced environment that requires heavy lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Availability to work Saturdays and evening shifts until 6 pm is required.
Qualifications:
Minimum one year of veterinary experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proper procedures. Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality. Willingness to work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings until 6pm. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending regularly. A passion for animal welfare and customer service.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
