Job Type Part time VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center in Middleton, WI is expanding its Pet CancerCare Center and is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for our Medical Oncology Services.
Position Overview:
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant who is passionate about specialty medicine, wants to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families facing cancer diagnoses, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with chemotherapy administration and safety protocols Handling oncology patient intakes, treatments, and follow-up appointments Providing compassionate support and clear communication to pet parents Collaborating with the Oncology team and other departments Obtaining and preparing lab samples (blood, urine, cytology, etc.) Performing radiographs and monitoring imaging procedures Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment logs Schedule This is a part-time position with a weekday schedule, 8 am - 5 pm.
Qualifications:
6+ months of clinical experience in veterinary medicine Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for veterinary medicine and elevating team performance. Apply today!
