Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Take and develop X-rays
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members
  • Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and ability to recognize signs of distress or illness
  • Proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws
  • Experience with X-ray equipment and techniques
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately record information Please note that experience in pet grooming or dog training is not required for this position.
Veterinary technicians primarily focus on providing medical care to animals under the supervision of a veterinarian.
