Normal work schedule is 10 hours per day M-Th while surgical courses are in session, but are subject to change. Required to work variable hours on short notice, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, covering staff shortages and holiday shifts. Good attendance habits are crucial. Work in high traffic areas with constant noise from animals and people in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and heavy volume patient-care environment. May require working with or around areas with sick animals, hazardous materials, and/or infectious diseases, and distraught students and staff. Work in an environment where animals are used for teaching. Work with animal cadavers and in animal shelter environments. Work with preserved animal specimens. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. Position is subject to Medical Surveillance procedures in accordance with Federal and State Laws and Regulations and University policy.
