"UrgentPaws Duarte" Visit us at UrgentPaws.com Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties Greet, educate and support clients from arrival to discharge Assist with animal handling, administration of medications and provision of animal husbandry and nursing care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including histories, treatments, and medication logs Obtain vital signs and comprehensive medical histories for patients Take and process diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) Collect and process lab samples for analysis (e.g., blood, urine, feces, cytology) Prepare patients for wet table surgical procedures including anesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery Desired Qualifications & Skillsets Graduate from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program Current California Veterinary Medical Board RVT License Pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) Complete CE requirements to maintain a valid California RVT license 1+ years' experience as an RVT preferably with an urgent care or emergency background Strong knowledge of veterinary medical and surgical terminology and techniques Friendly, proactive and helpful personality Mature communication skills, both with clients and team members Compensation & Benefits $28-$35/hour 401(k) Medical insurance benefits, including mental health and exercise programs Professional liability and workers compensation insurance $1,000 CE allowance Scrub allowance Full license reimbursements Generous PTO Discounted clinic goods and services, including veterinary diets No overnights or on-call hours UrgentPaws is an equal opportunity employer.
