Job Description

We are a family-owned small practice in the Inland Empire seeking to add a California-licensed Registered Veterinary Technician who strives to better themselves and those around them. To do this we offer the following: A yearly CE allowance. Mentorship from Doctors and RVTs. Everyone has a strength they are willing to share from emergency triage to orthopedic surgical nursing to reading a blood smear. To provide the best care possible, we are a full-service animal hospital that offers: Internal Medicine Emergency medicine Emergency surgery ranging from soft tissue to orthopedic surgery Complete in-house lab work courtesy of IDEXX Out house lab with Antech Radiology and radiology consults CT Scan Dentals Dermatology Ophthalmology Orthopedic surgeon on staff TPLO's Fracture repairs Full parameter monitoring system Ultrasounds In-house and online pharmacy Cubex to log controlled substances accurately As an RVT, you'll be vital in giving top-notch care to our patients and helping our veterinary team. To accomplish this, you'll need to: Help DVM's with procedures and surgeries Perform Dental and dental extractions Give medications and treatments as instructed by DVM Keep an eye on the health of the patients Gather and prepare samples for lab tests Do diagnostic imaging such as x-rays, dental x-rays, or ultrasounds Take care of hospitalized patients Teach pet owners about caring for their pets and treatment plans Keep detailed medical records You will also have a responsibility to see your appointments in the form of technician appointments.

Nail trims Suture removal Vaccines Cytopoint Bandage Removal Recheck xrays Lab Testing To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience: Current license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in California Experience as an RVT or similar role for 1+ years Skill in managing kennels and handling animals Understanding of critical care and animal physiology Knowledge of pet care and grooming Familiarity with vet terminology and procedures Ability to keep things sterile in a clinical environment This position is for
