The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in veterinary settings, demonstrating proficiency in animal care, restraint, and laboratory procedures. This role requires excellent client communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients and their owners. The Veterinary Technician will support veterinarians in various clinical tasks, monitor anesthesia, and assist with laboratory work to facilitate smooth clinic operations. Duties Provide compassionate and comprehensive care for dogs and cats. Taking TPR accurately History taking from clients Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff during examinations and procedures. Assist veterinarians with a variety of clinical procedures, including drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures. Support veterinary laboratory work such as sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostic testing. Filling prescribed medication by doctors and dispensing it to clients. Monitor animals under anesthesia, ensuring their stability throughout surgical or diagnostic procedures. Cleaning surgical instruments and properly making surgical packs and sterilizing it General housekeeping works Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide updates on their animals' health status, answer questions, and explain treatment plans. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care. Work requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs Skills Minimum of three years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar veterinary role. Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques for dogs and cats. Ability to perform venipuncture (blood draws) and place IV catheters accurately. Experience monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and education. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed. Knowledge of veterinary laboratory procedures and basic diagnostic testing. Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to animal welfare.
