Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant to join our HQHVSN (high quality, high volume spay/neuter) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with experience in various veterinary practices. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional service. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed Monitor animal vital signs and provide critical care when necessary Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments Provide education to pet owners on proper pet care and husbandry practices Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical areas Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection Requirements Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role-HQHVSN experience preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience in dog and cat handling, animal restraint Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being able to work independently Strong communication skills to educate pet owners on health management for their animals Commitment to providing compassionate care for all animals Join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners.
