he Animal Care Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of animals at the shelter. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the feeding, care, and treatment of animals, including administering medications to the sick and injured. The technician will perform intake procedures, such as recording animal data, administering vaccinations, and conducting preliminary health assessments. This role involves hands-on work, including cleaning animal holding areas, preparing food, and ensuring a safe environment for both animals and shelter staff. Public interaction is also a key aspect, as the technician will assist individuals in locating lost pets or adopting new animals.
