Job Summary We are a locally owned and operated fast-growing small animal vet clinic. We are searching for a Registered Veterinary Technician whose passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this vital role, you will support veterinarians with clinical procedures, provide exceptional pet care, and ensure a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient and client. Duties Assist veterinarians with medical procedures including anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgical assistance, and diagnostic radiology. Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for animals and staff. Conduct laboratory work such as phlebotomy and sample processing for diagnostic testing. Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory analyzers with precision. Manage animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a clean environment following aseptic techniques. Support emergency medicine efforts by providing critical care, monitoring anesthesia during surgeries, and administering medications accurately. Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures to foster trust and understanding. Qualifications RVT — Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Colorado Proven veterinary technician experience with strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Kennel experience combined with animal handling skills across various species including primarily dogs and cats Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment management. Hands-on experience in dental terminology, pet grooming, dog training, and pet grooming is a plus. Ability to perform IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, bandage placement and other technical skills. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology techniques including X-ray operation and radiology diagnostics. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members in high-pressure situations. $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 36.0 per week
