We are currently seeking a Nephrology Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

General Overview:

We are looking for Internal Medicine focused technician(s) with a special interest in Nephrology & Urology to work full time with our growing Nephrology/Urology team. Schedules Available:

Full Time Tuesday

• Friday 7am
• 5:30pm 8am
• 6:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain proper medical records and prepare medical records for Criticalists. Effectively communicate with clients, via phone, email, and in-person, regarding common Nephrology/Urology procedures. Manage appointment and procedure schedules from intake to discharge. Assist with surgical and endoscopy procedures as well as clean up and care of specialized surgical equipment. Collaboration with the ICU teams for nephrology specific patient care. Operate as a collaborative member of an innovative team.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with at least 2 years of applicable experience At least 1 year of experience within a specialty veterinary hospital preferred , preferably within the Internal Medicine department Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures and terminology Safely handle, lift, and restrain dogs/cats; stand for extended periods Prepare estimates, manage charges, and conduct client financial discussions Perform venipuncture and place peripheral IV catheters using aseptic technique Conduct ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, urinary catheterization (M/F), and monitor anesthesia/sedation (ASA 1-3) Experience with flexible/rigid endoscope maintenance and endoscopy procedures (cystoscopy a plus; training available) Basic surgical experience preferred (training provided) Complete TPRs and patient histories for canine/feline patients Administer medications via multiple routes; accurately calculate dosages, volumes, and CRIs Manage prescriptions: fill, verify dosing, process refills, and coordinate with outside pharmacies Communicate effectively with technicians, assistants, doctors, and staff Detail-oriented multitasker with strong decision-making skills in fast-paced settings Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
