Job Description

Peak Legacy Ranch in Peyton, CO is looking for a full time Lead Kennel Tech/Puppy Caretaker & Trainer. Do you love working with puppies? We are looking for fast-learning, motivated, hardworking, energetic people to join our team.
Responsibilities will include:
Evening and Saturday and Sunday hours
REQUIRED
Feeding and watering animals Cleaning kennels and enclosures Monitoring and Assessing health of animals Administering medication & vaccinations Assist in training and developing new employees Lead team on assigned shifts, ensuring that policies/procedures are being followed Specific kennel responsibilities assigned by Kennel Manager Opening and closing duties Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or GED Strong verbal and written communication Basic computer skills Ability to influence without authority Ability to multi-task and work safely in a fast-paced environment Endurance in a manual labor environment Ability to bend, twist, squat, lift 40+ lbs, and use stepladders Accurately read and use measurements Ability to follow directions and checklists Reliable transportation and attendance Organized and attentive to detail Required prior Kennel Tech experience
Preferred Veterinary Technician Certification Compensation:
Non-exempt (Hourly)
Employee Pay Range:
$17-21per hour ($17 for training, $18 after training + up to $3/hour bonus potential) Eligible for Vacation Accrual after 6 months.
