Job Description

Lakeside Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a well rounded technician position that includes outpatient appointments, treatment responsibilities, laboratory work, surgery support, and dental procedures . The ideal candidate is comfortable managing appointments independently and has strong experience with veterinary dentistry and anesthesia. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and support veterinary technicians and assistants Create and implement protocols for treatment, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, and patient recovery Organize daily workflow and delegate responsibilities Identify training needs and provide constructive feedback Maintain strong standards for patient care, medical records, equipment, and inventory Run technician appointments and assist doctors with outpatient care Manage dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, full mouth radiographs, charting, scaling, and polishing Assist with procedures and oversee patient recovery Qualifications Extensive veterinary dentistry experience is required Must be able to independently run the complete dental workflow, including anesthesia, full mouth radiographs, charting, cleaning, assisting with extractions, and recovery Ability to create dental protocols and train the technical team Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills At least three years of veterinary technician experience preferred Veterinary technician certification preferred but not required
Pay:
$24.88 - $29.96 per hour
