CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Large Animal Service Veterinary Technician 1: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Large Animal Service Veterinary Technician 2: High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.

This is a physically demanding position that requires excellent horse handling skills and experience, and the candidate must not have any medical conditions or implants which would preclude entry into the high-field MRI suite. This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. This position requires a post offer health assessment. Background check will be required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
EXPECTED SALARY
$18•25/hour
PREFERRED
Vet Tech Level 1: High School Diploma; two (2) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one (1) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician is preferred, but NOT required. Vet Tech Level 2: High School Diploma; four (4) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two (2) years of work experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician IS required.
