• Part-time, Full-time Veterinary Technician Big Dog Ranch Rescue("BDRR") is a one-of-a-kind dog rescue facility located in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida.

We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician able to multitask in a high paced environment. Must be a team player and willing to learn new things with an open mind. Compensation based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to place IV catheters, intubate, draw blood from legs and jugular. Collect and perform analysis of fecal samples, Surgical site preparation and monitor surgeries, Set up and read heartworm, and parvo tests. Ability to give intramuscular, subcutaneous injections. Working knowledge of X-Ray and ultrasound machines. Give oral medications. Properly restrain dogs. Requirements and Qualifications 2-5 years of experience Certification a plus but NOT required. Must be dependable with attendance and timeliness. Must be able to work at least one weekend day. Provide compassionate care. Ability to work with staff at all levels. Ability to work under pressure and plan personal workload effectively.
