Veterinary Technician South Miami Animal Clinic South Miami, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Veterinary Technician Certification Veterinary experience Care documentation English Anesthesiology Clinical documentation Microscopy Full Job Description Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Medical documentation. Preparatory work for examination rooms and surgical procedures. Create invoices and prepare treatment related materials. Preform physical assessments which includes safely restraining pets, taking vital, and fecal flotation/direct. Understanding canine/feline vaccinations and protocol. Maintaining a clean and orderly facility. Gives SQ, IM, and IV injections. Surgical assistance and postsurgical care. Communicate effectively with client's about their pet's medical needs and refer to licensed veterinarian when recommendations are requested. Posing patients for radiographs. Additional information Minimum of 18 years old. Knowledgeable in the use of bloodwork machine, tablets, vital signs monitors, veterinary anesthesia machines, autoclaves, dental equipment, microscope, and infusion pumps. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill, or in pain. Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis. Is well-spoken and approaches job duties in a mature nature. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
Physical Effort :
Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs). Walks or standing for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent position. Working conditions : May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.Job Type:
