Job description: Novey Animal Hospital Urgent Care is hiring an experienced technician to join our team! Hours are 4pm - 12 am Monday through Thursday. No weekend or on-call responsibility. Expectations & duties: Support general practice and urgent care cases from triage through discharge with attention to detail, efficiency, and strong interpersonal & communication skills Induce, prep, monitor, recover and discharge surgical patients. Collaborate with the attending doctor and team members to ensure patient flow and timely care Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients Assist with patient care, treatments, laboratory testing, radiography, medication preparation, and record keeping Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the urgent care area to support patient and team safety Participate in patient rounds, case discussions, and continual improvement of workflows and protocols Coordinate and schedule follow-up visits for clients Verify patient records and sales transactions Our values We pride ourselves on maintaining excellent medical care in a family-centered environment that aligns with our core values We believe that excellent care is provided by excellent people

Requirements Due to the training required for new hires, we're looking for applicants with long-term employment needs, with a preference for full-time status. Looking for day or evening urgent care shift to be filled. Well qualified part-time applicants and applicants with short-term (6 month - 1 year) goals will also be considered Pre-employment Drug Testing and Background Checks performed at employer's discretion.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
