About Us:
Come and join the team at Nassau Veterinary Specialists in sunny North Florida. Nassau Veterinary Specialists is a new veterinary specialty referral hospital opening in the summer of 2025. We are a family-owned center seeking family-friendly staff. Our brand, new hospital will feature a state-of-the-art facility offering Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Cardiology. At Nassau Veterinary Specialists, we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, experienced in clinical procedures, and is seeking a professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Administer medications and treatments Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep and recovery Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a clean, safe environment
Qualifications:
Veterinary Technician Certification or License (LVT, RVT, or CVT) preferred Minimum 3 year of clinical experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on feet for extended periods Passion for animals and client service
