Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. Duties Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and procedures, utilizing animal husbandry techniques and knowledge of animal physiology. Assist veterinarians with diagnostic procedures including radiology diagnostics, laboratory work, and veterinary surgical assistance. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory analyzers with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary protocols, including general anesthesia and critical care procedures. Collect blood samples through phlebotomy or IV insertion, manage vascular access devices, and perform animal catheterization when necessary. Monitor animals under anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring proper anesthesiology practices and vital sign tracking. Maintain detailed records using veterinary software for patient history, laboratory results, radiology images, and treatment plans while communicating effectively with pet owners about pet care needs. Qualifications Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification in veterinary technology in the state of Georgia Proven experience in veterinary settings with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology. Hands-on experience with kennel management, dog handling, emergency medicine, and pet care techniques. Familiarity with diagnostic radiology, laboratory procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical & intensive care environments. Strong skills in animal restraint, animal husbandry, and aseptic technique to ensure safety for animals and staff alike. Ability to operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, laboratory analyzers, and radiology diagnostics tools confidently.
