Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician $22.00-$32.00/hour DOE Full-Time | Sunday-Wednesday | 8:00 AM-6:00 PM | Four 10-Hour Shifts Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) | Honolulu, HI VERC is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical nursing and anesthesia skills who wants to work with advanced diagnostics, endoscopy, hospitalized patients, and complex medical cases. Veterinary Technician credentialing is preferred but not required. Experienced Veterinary Assistants with strong technical and anesthesia skills are encouraged to apply. What You Bring Previous hands-on veterinary clinical experience. Strong technical nursing skills and anesthesia fluency. Confidence with patient preparation, anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery. Strong venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, medication administration, and patient monitoring skills. Experience supporting procedures, diagnostics, and hospitalized patient care. Internal Medicine, Specialty, Emergency, ICU, anesthesia, endoscopy, or advanced diagnostic experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and client education skills. Veterinary Technician credentialing preferred but not required. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Provide skilled nursing care for Internal Medicine and hospitalized patients. Support endoscopy and other scope procedures from patient preparation through anesthesia and recovery. Obtain and process blood, urine, fluid aspirates, and other diagnostic samples. Assist with Internal Medicine procedures and advanced diagnostics. Support radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, and other diagnostic procedures. Administer and monitor sedation and anesthesia and respond appropriately to changes in patient status. Admit and discharge patients and provide client education regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care. Collaborate with Internal Medicine veterinarians and other Specialty teams. Why Join
