We are looking for someone who enjoys working with animals, communicates well with both clients and coworkers, and is comfortable working in a busy veterinary environment. Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we are also open to motivated candidates with animal-care, medical, or customer-service experience who are eager to learn. This position involves hands-on patient care, assisting our veterinarians, communicating with pet owners, and helping keep the clinic running smoothly throughout the day. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats Obtain patient histories and assist with client communication Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Assist with blood draws, catheter placement, laboratory testing, and sample preparation Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia monitoring Provide post-operative and hospitalized patient care Maintain accurate medical records Review discharge and home-care instructions with clients Clean and maintain treatment areas, kennels, equipment, and supplies Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and reception staff to provide efficient patient care What We're Looking For Compassionate and comfortable working with animals Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Strong communication and customer-service skills Able to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and accept feedback Comfortable with cleaning, lifting, animal restraint, and the physical demands of veterinary medicine Veterinary clinic experience is preferred but not required Veterinary technician or assistant education is a plus, but not required for the right candidate Experience with blood collection, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory work, and veterinary practice software is helpful, but we encourage applicants to apply even if they are still developing some of these skills.
