Job Description

Overview:
Veterinary Associates is looking to hire a Certified Veterinary Technician in our Galena, IL location. This position requires experience in animal care, pet handling, and veterinary procedures. If you have a passion for animals and a desire to make a difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply.
Duties may include:
  • Assist veterinarians in appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Perform laboratory diagnostics
  • Take X-rays
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment plans
  • Client education
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of equipment, exam rooms, and clinic
  • Handle animals with care and compassion during procedures and examinations
Requirements:
Certified Veterinary Technician Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
  • Excellent attention to detail for accurate record keeping and medication administration
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
  • Compassionate nature towards animals and their well-being
