JOB DESCRIPTION
Lincolnshire Animal Hospital is a private eight-doctor practice that prides itself on employee engagement, a collaborative learning environment where everyone works diligently for our patients and their coworkers. We have a position available for a certified veterinary technician who is a compassionate self-starter, who is experienced and willing to work in a setting that promotes respect and equality. This position can be structured as either full-time or part-time as we're flexible and happy to work with the right candidate to create a schedule that supports the needs of the hospital with your availability. You will be asked to employ your full capabilities and expected to advance your development both within the clinic setting and through continuing education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collection and communication of vital statistics to the veterinarians Blood draws Subcutaneous fluid administration In-house lab/blood work diagnostics Radiographs Surgical and anesthetic experience Knowledgeable with veterinary pharmaceuticals, preventatives and vaccines Certification (CVT, RVT LVT) or 3 years' experience
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Understand and carry out oral and written directions Maintain pleasant and cooperative relationships with other employees and clients Genuinely enjoy working with animals even when they are ill or in pain Lift and carry cats and dogs weighing up to 50 lbs. Walk, bend or stand for extended periods of time
