Your expertise in animal handling, laboratory work, and veterinary terminology will be vital to delivering top-tier veterinary services. Responsibilities Be first line of communication with clients for scheduling and general questions via text or phone call on the clinic cell phone. Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining aseptic techniques. Handle animals with care using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring health status. Conduct laboratory tests including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnoses. Manage pet care routines like administering medications and maintaining accurate medical records. Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray machines to assist in diagnostic processes. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning and oral examinations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and areas meet infection control standards. Requirements Prior veterinary clinic experience of 2+ years as a receptionist or technician is required. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques is advantageous. Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care routines. Ability to manage complex animal restraint situations safely. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners.
