Job Description

We are looking for a future employee that can handle a fast-paced work environment. Preferably someone experienced and willing to be a team player. An employee in this position must have a sense of caring for animals, be able to lift approx. 50+ lbs., work on their feet all day, read and follow directions.
Essential functions:
Provide compassionate care for the animals, restrain pets for veterinarians and coworkers. Assist in taking x-rays, monitoring and collecting of blood, fecal, and urine samples. Running samples in the laboratory equipment. Assisting in surgery or the doctor take exam rooms. Cleaning up the surgery suite after every procedure. Running the surgery tools through an extensive sanitizing cycle. Sanitize the exam rooms after every visit. Clean cages, runs, boarding area and hospital when needed. Provide clean bedding for hospitalized patients/ boarding dogs. Feed and medicate the animals when needed. Some light duties may be asked. i.e.: unpacking boxes, restocking medicines, etc. We do work every other Saturday 8a-11a, and some weekends, caring for the boarding and hospitalized animals. (Rotating shift) We DO work holidays, in a rotating schedule. PTO is offered after 1 year. 35 hr. weeks on average/ 1 full day off, weekly This position reports to: Head Technician/ Practice Manager.
