Job Overview interested in being a part of a brand new mixed animal practice with a great atmosphere and hard work that pays off? If so, consider joining us as we expand (almost 10-fold) into a large facility that will help meet the demand of our loyal and trusted Rockcastle community Duties Navigate multiple exam rooms by working in unison with your colleagues in providing good quality medicine and achieving a great level of care. Be confident in animal restraint (large animals welcomed but not a necessity) Aid in performing in-house diagnostics and ensuring the veterinary-client-patient-relationship remains intact whether the animal stays on premises or leaves to be contacted remotely Be confident in performing venous access procedures such as IV-lines or jugular sticks Support critical & intensive care patients by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with emergency medicine protocols. Communicate effectively with pet owners about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and compliance. Requirements veterinary technician certification (completed or in process) Knowledge of veterinary terminology Experience with veterinary anesthesia monitoring, medical equipment operation, and veterinary surgical assistance Good computer skills A level of excitement and positivity about starting this new adventure with us! if interested, send your resume to our email at rockvetanimalhospital@gmail.com. $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
