Job Description

Dixie Veterinary Hospital is a 2 doctor veterinary clinic located right off Dixie Highway just outside of downtown Clarkston. We are a general practice and urgent care looking to add a part time or full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to our team. Dixie Veterinary Hospital provides the highest level of care to our patients by practicing preventive medicine. We do this through wellness exams and blood work, pre-operative blood work, yearly vaccines and dental prophy. Other services Dixie Veterinary Hospital will provide are spay/neuter, mass removal, full Idexx in-house lab work and urgent care services. We have a fast paced work environment that relies on technician utilization. The ideal candidate for this position is positive, eager to grow/evolve with the profession, has excellent communication and client educations skills and an overall desire to help the team.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
Must be a licensed veterinary technician Exceptional Technical skills (ability to draw blood, place IV catheters, etc.) Proficient in anesthetic monitoring Ability to complete medical records in a timely manner with attention to detail Ability to work in fast paced environment Organized and prompt 1+ year experience as LVT Proficient on a computer/typing is required Reliable transportation
