Google review As a Veterinary Technician with Animal Medical Center of Marquette, you'll play an essential role in delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and relationship driven care while supporting our veterinarians throughout the day. From assisting with examinations, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and anesthesia to educating clients and advocating for their pets, you'll be a trusted member of our medical team. We welcome candidates who possess:
1-2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician preferred Licensed veterinary technician certification and current licensure preferred Friendly and/or Fear Free handling techniques and/or certification preferred Ability to perform dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management with precision Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography Working knowledge of DEA and OSHA regulations, and ability to maintain accurate protocols Proficiency with Cornerstone PIMS and Microsoft Suite preferred Ability to provide compassionate, kind, and professional client service and education Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., food bags, records, equipment) Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with occasional bending, stooping, and reaching Comfort working in a clinical environment with exposure to noise, odors, animal waste, potential bites or scratches, and infectious diseases "This is by far the most caring and loving veterinarian office that I have ever had the pleasure of taking my cat!"
