In this role, you will provide essential support in the care and treatment of animals, working closely with veterinarians to ensure the health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both staff and animals. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Prepare animals for X-ray procedures and assist in imaging processes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian. Provide grooming services as needed to maintain the hygiene of animals. Skills Proficient in veterinary terminology and animal anatomy knowledge. Experience in veterinary critical care is highly desirable. Strong understanding of animal physiology to assess health conditions effectively. Competence in operating X-ray machines and conducting laboratory tests. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with pet owners and team members.
