As a Fear Free and AAHA-accredited practice, we focus on working together to form long-term patient relationships with large amounts of squeeze cheese! Required team-centered continuing education strengthens our ability to learn and grow together. The practice is capable of handling most in house diagnostics and emergencies. We're looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to add their passion, skills, and education to our team. Must project a professional image and embrace core values of the hospital while striving for the highest quality of care. Experience with Covetrus Pulse software system integrated with Heska diagnostic machines and Cuattro digital radiograph system would be an asset. The noted job requirements are not an exhaustive list of duties, as the position requires constant growth to contribute to the whole of the practice. Licensed Veterinary Technician What You'll Be Working On
  • As a key team member, contribute by delivering high-quality care to our patients
  • Provide leadership for licensed veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate effectively with clients, CSRs, technicians, doctors, referring veterinarians, hospital management and consulting professionals
  • Engaging and communicating with clients to deliver excellence in service
  • Educate clients on proper care and treatment for their pets to live their healthiest lives
  • Assist the doctor start to finish with patient treatments and procedures
  • Care for and monitor patient conditions recovering from surgery
  • Obtain quality samples for diagnostic testing
  • Perform in-house x-ray and laboratory procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment
  • Perform surgery room and equipment preparations as well as post-operation sterilization and cleaning
  • Perform basic care for patients such as ear cleaning, basic bandage, nail trims and more
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, serums or treatments under guide of doctor
  • Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain under direction of a doctor
  • Obtaining and maintaining patient information Qualifications
  • License in Veterinary Technology or Associates degree in Veterinary Technology required
  • At least 2 years experience as a Veterinary Technician in a fast-paced environment required
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
