Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join our busy small animal veterinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional patient care to dogs and cats while delivering outstanding client service. Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred,but we welcome certified candidates who are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, treatments, and surgeries Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection Handle animal catheterization, X-ray procedures, and other diagnostic tests Provide pet grooming, pet care, and basic animal husbandry support Monitor anesthesia and assist with critical care procedures Maintain detailed medical records and update patient charts accurately Support kennel management including animal intake, discharge, and daily care routines Experience Prior veterinary technician experience is highly preferred Kennel experience and animal handling skills are essential Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and pet care best practices Experience with dental terminology and procedures is a plus Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis is desirable Equine experience or familiarity with large animals is advantageous but not required Skills in dog training, pet grooming, and animal restraint are beneficial Experience with X-ray technology and veterinary critical care enhances candidacy Certification or training in animal catheterization, aseptic technique, or veterinary critical care is preferred This position offers an engaging environment where compassionate animal care meets technical expertise.
