Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical and surgical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of animal physiology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal welfare. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct X-ray imaging and ensure proper handling of radiographic equipment. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Provide education to pet owners regarding animal husbandry, dental care, and grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments. Assist with kennel duties, including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for animals. Skills Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary practices. Proficiency in performing X-ray imaging and understanding dental terminology. Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Ability to handle various animals safely, including dogs and other pets. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
